Savonlinna Medieval Society was founded in March 2013. One of its main goals is to awake people’s interest in the history of Eastern Finland and town Savonlinna and especially in the medieval lifestyle. The society organized in August 2014 the first Savonlinna Medieval Fair together with Town Savonlinna, Savonlinna Provincial Museum and Olavinlinna Castle.
